10 All Time Favorite Fall Cupcakes

I love the flavors of Fall, and as the temperature drops, it’s so nice to have a home filled with the warmth and smell of fresh baked goods.  Since people always ask me about my favorite cupcake recipes, I’ve put together this list of my ten favorite Fall cupcakes.  Happy baking!

1.  Apple Cobbler Cupcakes with Pumpkin Pie Frosting

Have you caught your apple cobbler trying to snuggle up to the pumpkin pie on your holiday table? I decided to play matchmaker and bring these two lovebirds together – and, let me tell you, it was a match made in heaven!

2.  Sweet Potato Casserole Cupcake

On Thanksgiving, I walk right past the turkey on the buffet table and straight to the sweet potato casserole.  News flash:  Sweet potato casserole is even better in cupcake form!  I love sweet potato casserole cupcakes so much, that I’ve made them three ways.

3.  Pumpkin Mudslide Cupcakes

This is the pumpkin cupcake that will make other pumpkin cupcakes bow down.

4.  Oatmeal Raisin Cupcakes

Oatmeal raisin cupcakes are as comforting as putting on the well-loved sweatshirt that’s been hidden in the back of your closet all summer.  The photo on the left shows them all glammed up for a wedding.  If you go to the post, you’ll see them with a simple maple glaze and topped with chocolate covered raisins and a maple bacon lollypop.  You’ll want to read more about the lollypops, too.  They are wicked good!

5.  Cranberry Orange Scone Cupcakes

Scones baked directly in oven-safe teacups make a perfect afternoon snack. They are best served warm and topped with jam and clotted cream (the post also links to instructions on how to make your own clotted cream from scratch).

6.  Carrot Cake Cupcakes

Carrot cake is a classic – and with good reason.  I spice mine up with a touch of cardamom and garnish it with a candied carrot curl.

7.  Compost Cupcakes

Compost cupcakes are the answer to the question of what to do with the leftover salty and sweet snacks from Halloween.  Hershey’s Kisses + goldfish?  Snickers + potato chips?  You pick the combo!
Bonus: The compost cupcake post can be made with homemade goldfish crackers.

8.  Apple Pecan Cinnamon Roll Cupcakes

What’s better than a hot cinnamon roll?  A hot cinnamon roll stuffed with apples and pecans and topped with an apple cider glaze.

9.  Pumpkin Cupcakes with Pumpkin Cheesecake Frosting

With pumpkin in the cupcake and the frosting, these cupcakes are double the pumpkin fun!  Be sure to also try making your own homemade pumpkin graham cracker toppers (there’s a link to the recipe in the post); the grahams are great fun to make with kids!

10.  The Everything Fall Cupcake

You’ve made it to the end of the list so you deserve an extra special treat. What you see here is (take a deep breath) pumpkin, spiced rum, and maple cupcakes topped with cinnamon cream cheese frosting and dried cranberries – with brown sugar frosting-topped apple cobbler cupcakes baked inside. It is the ultimate fall cupcake!

The cupcakes look delicious. Can’t wait to try the recipes! I truly enjoy browsing through your website, everything just looks so sinfully tasteful. Among all of your post, this has to be my personal favorite. However, it would be easier and less time consuming if all the 10 recipes were listed onto a single page. I can’t help but admire the layout and design of your website. The layout is easy to navigate, as well as, neatly organized. This makes it user-friendly. What initially caught my attention was your logo. It is colorful but at the same time it portrays simplicity and fun.
