General

Cupcake Project strives to ensure that its services are accessible to people with disabilities.

I, Stefani Pollack, creator of Cupcake Project, have invested a significant amount of resources to help ensure that this website is made easier to use and more accessible for people with disabilities, with the strong belief that every person has the right to live with dignity, equality, comfort and independence.

I am continuously improving the accessibility of my website for people with disabilities. If you find that the site is not meeting your requirements, I hope you can let me know by sending me a message at stef@cupcakeproject.com.

I will make every reasonable effort to make this page accessible. I kindly ask you to understand that Cupcake Project is a small business with the aim of bringing joy to people worldwide by sharing recipes. I will do my best to work on the accessibility of my website as quickly as I can. I ask that you have patience as I continue to improve accessibility.

Accessibility on Cupcake Project

Disclaimer

Cupcake Project continues its efforts to constantly improve the accessibility of its site and services in the belief that it is our collective moral obligation to allow seamless, accessible and unhindered use for those with disabilities.

Despite my efforts to make all pages and content on Cupcake Project fully accessible, some content may not have yet been fully adapted to the strictest accessibility standards. This may be a result of not having found or identified the most appropriate technological solution.

Areas for Improvement and Timelines

I am aware of some areas on the website where accessibility needs improvement. I am currently working to achieve this. I hope that this website will achieve “Level AA” conformance to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0 by mid-2021.

Star ratings: As of now, the third-party recipe rating system I use on this site cannot be accessed by keyboard. My hope is that the recipe plugin developer continues to work on accessibility compliance and offers a keyboard-accessible rating system. Please bear with us as we continue to improve the functionality.

Images: I will continually update the alt-text of photos in my posts. I hope to have improved the accessibility of all the photos in all my posts by mid-2021. If you have problems reading the photos, please send me a message at stef@cupcakeproject.com and reference the post you’re having problems with.

Videos: I will update captions for my videos here on Cupcake Project as I am able to.

Link Text: I will also update my link texts so that they become more accessible.

Audit: I will be scheduling an audit of Cupcake Project shortly to learn which areas need to be improved to reach accessibility standards on this website.
