Candied Spam

Candied Spam can be used as a unique twist on bacon bits in a salad, a fabulous crunch on top of an ice cream sundae, or a surprising cupcake topper.

  • 1/2 cup Spam I highly recommend using homemade Spam, sliced thinly
  • 3 tablespoon brown sugar


  • Preheat oven to 300 F.
  • Heat a small skillet on medium heat.
  • Add Spam and brown sugar.
  • When the brown sugar starts to melt, stir to coat all of the Spam.
  • Pour brown sugar coated Spam onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or a Silpat.
  • Bake for 30 minutes.
  • Bring to room temperature.
  • Chop into small pieces.
  • Happily munch!
