Preheat petite waffle cone maker to the 2 1/2 setting.
Melt the chocolate and butter in a small saucepan on low heat. Stir periodically and set aside to cool when completely melted.
In a medium-sized mixing bowl, beat eggs and salt.
Beat in sugar until fully combined.
Beat in chocolate mixture.
Mix in flour and cocoa powder until just combined.
Put a half tablespoon of batter into the petite waffle cone maker at the 2 1/2 setting.
Close and cook until the green light comes back on. I strongly suggest doing just one cookie at a time because you'll need to work really fast to insert the fortune and shape the cookie.
While the cookie is still really hot, slip a fortune in and loosely fold in half.
Press the folded ends of the cookie down over the lip of a glass to form the fortune cookie shape.
Cool in a cupcake tin. This keeps the cookie from expanding too much while it cools. In just a few minutes, it will be crunchy and ready to eat!
Store in a container that isn't airtight (an airtight container can cause the cookies to get soggy).
Notes
The recipe for the batter is from Chef's Choice, re-written in my own words.
