This dairy-free chocolate frosting tastes like Nutella and is sinless, smooth, and sweet!. You’d never know this vegan chocolate frosting is made from cashews!
Watch out: once you try it, this frosting might permanently overthrow your current chocolate buttercream to become your new favorite frosting.
How to Make Dairy-Free Chocolate Frosting
To make this frosting, simply soak cashews overnight to soften them.
Then, blend the cashews with water, a touch of brown sugar, and cocoa powder.
The frosting will be thick enough to make a loose swirl and it spreads really well.
Keep it refrigerated for up to 5 days and bring to room temperature before serving.
Dairy-Free Chocolate Frosting Variations
You can also make dairy-free frosting by using alternative butters. I talk about this in my post on vegan buttercream.
Finally, you can try making a whipped chocolate ganache frosting using coconut milk instead heavy cream.
