Spice Cupcakes with a Candy Center
I used some Spiced Apple Brew to make an amazing filling bomb for regular 'ol spice cake. It's a great surprise in the middle!

Reed’s Spiced Apple Brew
if you can’t find this product, you could use a Ginger Ale

apple cider vinegar

applesauce

make them yourself or use a store-bought sticky caramel candy

Instructions
Combine the soda and the vinegar.
Add in the sugar and the applesauce and mix well.
Add the vanilla extract and lemon juice.
Add in the ginger, flour, baking soda, and baking powder and mix until just incorporated.
Fill cupcake liners 3/4 full.
Drop a candy into each liner.
Bake at 350 F for about 20 minutes or until cupcakes bounce back when touched.
Notes
Frost the spice cupcakes with vanilla bean buttercream frosting (see bottom of this post).
