1/2ouncechocolateThis could be a chocolate bar broken into pieces, chocolate squares, or a small handful of chocolate chips. Dark or milk chocolate both work.
2tablespoonsunsalted butter
1/4cupmilkany kind - even soy or almond milk will work
Place chocolate, butter, and milk in a microwave-safe mug. Microwave on high for 40 seconds and stir to fully combine. If there are still pieces of butter or unmelted chocolate remaining, microwave for another 20 seconds.
Let the mixture cool for two minutes.
Add flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, sugar, salt, and vanilla to the mug and stir to combine.
Place chocolate chips on top.
Microwave on high for 70 seconds or until the top of the cake is set and the chips are melted.
Eat immediately!
